ADAKC Cinnamon Roll Drive Raises Money For Neurological Disorders

Tamara Baker, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Disease Association of Kern County, stops the KGET Channel 17 studios to chat with Elaina Rusk during their Compassion Corner segment about the upcoming Cinnamon Roll Drive.

The annual Cinnamon Roll Drive raises money for the ADAKC Rose Lazzerini Campus which is the only local organization that has a day program for people with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other neurological disorders.

“Our program and activities [at ADAKC] are very tailored to [those disorders]. We help with socialization, making sure people are constantly engaged and just slowing the progression of the disease while providing that respite and help to caregivers as well,” said Baker.

The event starts at 6am (until sold out) on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Compassion Corner at the corner of 22nd and L Street with all proceeds going to ADAKC.

Preorders are also available.
